Pageant speech samples used for farewell walks. Know what you have to say to people you have to thank for. Don’t hit a miss!
March of 2011 at the age of 16, I started my training as early as December. Determination and belief that everything will turn out good is my mentor’s way of upbringing me. Who will believe it, I’m lacking in height when I am with my sister candidates May Ervison Ruaro and Shirali Irenai Castillo.
Winning a pageant is not all about the cheers of people. Winning is not all about the waving of hands, not the awarding of sashes and absolutely not the wearing of crown. It is more than that.
To be a beauty queen is not easy as it seems, you have to be the very best in whatever you do. And achieving the crown is not just being the fairest of them all.
It takes time to wait, to be smiled and to be spotlighted. Sometimes the waiting seems to take a little longer. And sometimes it takes forever until we find to ourselves that strength, that it is “us” who determine when will, we shine in God’s Grace.
Before I will pass the crown to my successor, I would like to say “thank you” to people who are in one way or another developed me into who I am and to people who have helped me win the pageant: to my mother, to my make-up artist Jason Solis, to my sponsor and Alma Mater, Mangaldan National High School, to my fellow candidates that night, I must admit, I, too, was nervous and shaking.
To our Pageant Director Jonas Dizon, Choreographer Renee De Vera and Rey Cabuzi, thank you so much for creating such a wonderful and awesome pageant that will linger in one’s memory. To the rest of the pageant committee under the leadership of our mayor and municipal councilors, thank you so much for the Miss Mangaldan 2011 project. To the judges that night, thank you for entrusting me your confidence, and to the people of Mangaldan, I say thank you, thank you, and thank you. It was a joyful journey to serve my town – my home!
And to all, I bid my farewell.
Angelica Quinto Demandante, and will always be, Miss Mangaldan 2011.
Nicole Jane S. Nabua
Sample pageant farewell speech from Nicole Jane S. Nabua sharing her magical journey by thanking the people behind her success. Let’s read what she has to say.
“It is not on the stars to hold our destiny it is in ourselves…”
– Nicole Jane S. Nabua, Miss Magic 2012
Looking back when I joined Miss Magic 2012 the idea of being an official candidate itself is beyond my imagination. I started my journey in the beauty pageant world when I was first year high school not even knowing the potentials I have. Unexpectedly, this simple high school pageant paved way to greater ambitions as I gradually discover my potentials.
Truly I am blessed by the Ultimate Creator by providing me different people with different talents and skills who helped me hone the potentials I have. To sir Patrick Gayapa, John Gayapa, Tin Macaraed and to my tita Gladys Estabillo, thank you.
Twenty Twelve was indeed a magical experience. Joining Miss Magic made me discover that all of us can do wonders…our success lies in our hands…opportunities are there but if we do not do our share then nothing will happen to us.
Thank you to the Magic Group of Companies for making me discover the magic I have within me….letting me pour it out and use these potentials I have for the betterment of myself and in inspiring others to do the same.
To all my co candidates whom I shared my experience with, to sir Chris, sir Jojo, sir MJ, Doc Eugene, sir Jo, sir Alfred; thank you also to Manang Celia, Ma’am Irene, Sir Brian and the entire men and women behind the Magic Group of Companies specially to Sir Benjie Lim whom I also wish and pray for his endeavors.
But of course, there is no magical experience to begin with without my family who never left me through thick and thin. Thank you so much for the love, for the care and above all for the gift of life. To my dad, mom, my brother, my sister, my grandpas and grandmas, aunties and uncles. Thank you.
Above all, the Ultimate Creator the Mightiest of them all who never left me, showered me with so much opportunities and blessings – our God.
Siak ni Nicole Nabua mani pod iti ili iti Binalonan Miss Magic 2012 saying thank you and cherish every moment you have, learn to be patient, believe in yourselves, work hard and do not forget that magical moments are true.
