What is the relevance of a beauty pageant in a society?
*A beauty pageant is a celebration of beauty. It is an act of acknowledging and giving honor to the beauty that God has given unto us. It is also an effective means to campaign for social awareness of different social issues and problems that need our attention since the answers of the candidates would serve as pieces of good advice to the concerned public.
*Beauty contests help women by giving them opportunities to showcase their personalities and potentialities be it local, national, or international. These serve as training grounds too for women who plan to handle key roles in the society since joining beauty contests let them become aware and engage to the different social issues and problems. These even help them to express themselves, educate people and bring hope.
Why did you join this pageant?
*I join this pageant to have a sense of achievement and a sense of fulfillment. Likewise, the excitements and memories I may encounter here are beyond measurable on their worth widening my social horizon and understanding of people.

Who is the most influential person in your life?
The most influential person in my life is my mom. My mother is what exactly I want to be in the future: kind, compassionate and a true epitome of a Christ-like mother. She is an inspiration and a blessing for me and for others who knew her.
Who is that one influential person you want to meet and what do you want to learn from him/her?
I would like to meet the pope. Since he has a profound wisdom, I would like to know what matters most in life. And since he is a Man of God, I would also like to ask for his prayers for our place and the people of (State the place of the pageant)
If you won in a lottery for millions of pesos, what would you do with it?
If I won millions of pesos in a lottery, I would use it as a capital to start a small business. What is good about starting a micro-business is that it is not a one-time deal. In case that it turned out to be good and business expansion is necessary, I would be able to help more by hiring people.
If you had to live your life all over again, what part of your life would you change?
None, I would not change even a single scene in my life. I am me because of what I have been through, changing any part of my life automatically changes my definition as a person, and I do not want that to happen.
If you were given the chance to live again, what would it be?
If I were given the chance to live again, I would still be me. I know that there is a work in this world that I alone could do. There is a space in this world that I alone could fill. There is a sound that I alone could make. There are people who would miss me if I am not around. That is why if given the chance to live again, I would still be me.
If you were given the chance to change something from the past, what would it be?
*If I were given the chance to change something from the past, I would change the time when Masbate was wreck by the typhoon Yolanda. I think everybody knows what had happened there and no one would ever dare to go back to that nightmare except but to change the past.
*I would not change anything from the past. The society we live in and the person we are today are products of our past. The past is something to be cherished be it sad or happy. It is a memory full of lessons and insights that we use it today as a platform to see what lies ahead. It is a part of history that must be respected and treated as a clue to success and progress.
*If I were given the chance to change something from the past, I would change the time when World War I and II happened. I think nobody deserves to die in a war whether they were soldiers or civilians.
If you have a magic wand, what is the one thing you would ask for, and why?
If God will grant you one wish, what would it be?
*If God will grant me one wish, I wish to God that from now on, no one in this world should ever be hungry because of being financially deprived. It is an awful fact to accept that the world has been very busy in its luxurious living while hundreds and thousands of beggars tonight are still out there on the cold grounds waiting for alms.
*I wish for the universal brotherhood and sisterhood of men and women — that we belong to just one race, one country, one universal truth, and — One God.
*I wish that contentment would become an innate part of the human race so that hatred and greediness will be totally over and we will have a peaceful world.
*I would like to make a wish for the betterment of all humanity. All I wish for is just one simple word – understanding. Even with all the conflicts that the human race have experienced, if we only had complete understanding of each other’s feelings and needs, then I’m sure that we’ll be able to attain an abundant and rich life..
*If God would grant me one wish, I would gladly become an instrument of God to bring change in this world. We see nothing but evil, suffering, grief and sadness. This is not what the Lord wants. Thus I would wish for myself to become His tool – a catalyst of change in order to help the people change, and I believe that with His will and guidance, change is within our grasp. Thank you.

What is your edge over the other candidates?
What skills do you have that can help the society?
One of my edges is that I have very supportive parents who are always there all the way and not all girls who join pageants are actually supported by their parents. Aside from that, I have prepared very well for this contest and I am ready and equipped with all that what it takes to be (Title of Pageant).
What can be your greatest contribution to the community?
The greatest contribution I can make for the community is to join clean and green projects, charity missions, livelihood seminars and pageants like this that endeavor the development of one’s personality, confidence, self–esteem and other skills that help someone achieve her or his goals and be able to be of use to the community as a future professional, a public servant, or an entrepreneur.
What will be your contribution to mitigate global warming?
I should be more than willing to join any green revolution or green movement seminars in educating the public on caring and saving the environment. I would be using social bookmarking sites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube for fast dissemination of information to the public.
What do you like most about yourself?
How would you describe your own personality?
*What I do like most about myself is that I am lighthearted and simple. I can stay and look charming and sweet even after an unpleasant situation. I am a simple person too with simple and clear ambitions that is to finish my studies, have a good family and have a little contribution to the society.
*I am contended to what God has given unto me. I do not regret being softhearted rather I like it the most, though some may overuse it, I am glad I have extended my hand and helped them.
*I am an optimistic person. I look at things in a positive way, thinking that the glass is half-full and not half-empty. God has taught us how to trust in Him. And that is the best and what I like most about myself.
What is your philosophy or value that you hold dearest in life?
My philosophy in life is to stay morally upright despite the prevalent immoral acts in our society; to respect and gain respect; to become a friend to everyone and to help other people. With that, I would be presentable into the eyes of my friends, my family and especially to God.

How could you convince the audience and the judges that you deserve the title?
I could convince the audience and the board of judges that I deserve the title _____________ because I am more than willing to help the ________________. (Emergency Phrase) With that, I am worth crowning.
If you will be winning the crown tonight, what will be the very first thing you will do?
*If I will be crowned tonight as (Title of Pageant), the very first thing that I will do is to thank God. Nothing could be much more important than offering my achievements and thanking God who is the source of all things beautiful.
*Whatever the result maybe, I owe much to the Lord that I am here tonight. There is no other glory than to glorify and thank Him not just tomorrow but every day of my life.
What do you think is the greatest environmental problem today?
*The greatest environmental problem today is the depletion of the ozone layer. This is irreversible in nature and will cause rise in temperature that will melt polar ice caps resulting to dramatic rise of sea levels threatening millions of people globally. Not to mention diseases one may get through excessive sun exposure.
*I think the greatest environmental problem we have today is the kind of pollution that technology, progress, and population produces – waste – waste management problems. Year after year, it is a perennial problem of every city on where to dump its tons of waste or on what to do with it.
What is the essence of a woman?
The essence of being a woman is to complete the very existence and meaning of life to men and their fellow women making life a little easier, more comfortable, colorful and happier than it really is.
What constitutes true beauty?

(A beauty queen is not just a beautiful woman, but also a beautiful person. A beauty queen has…) For me, true beauty is anything that is towards the likeliness of God. It constitutes cleanliness of body and spirit, pureness of heart and soul and goodness of actions and deeds.
What is “success” for you?
What is the most important lesson your mother has taught you?
*I believe success is not actually measured by greatness, honors or powers. For me, “success” is when you are able (The most important lesson my mom has taught me is) to hold on to what is right even the world compromises with the “wrong”; able to live, enjoy and inspire people to continue living with the upright morals.
*Success is when you do every little thing with God and for God without hurting anybody’s feelings too.
If you did not make it to this contest, what would you do?
If I did not make it to this contest, I will pursue harder to achieve my dreams and will continue improving myself and become an inspiration and an epitome of a person perfecting herself by welcoming all opportunities and challenges the come her way.
What has been your greatest achievement?
What is the best thing that happened to you?
*My greatest achievement is becoming a candidate for this pageant. I believe this is but a proof of how dignified and decent I am to present myself before the public. Plus the committee is very selective during the screening and I doubted several times if I can make it. Being able to be on their final roster of candidates is already more than enough for me.
*My most significant accomplishment in my life is myself. Who and what I am now. I am the product of my past and present, my happiness, my sacrifices, my mistakes, made me into who I am now. With God’s Grace, and I am proud of myself but will continue to be the best of what I can be, because what is within me, is God’s gift to me, and what I do with it, is my gift to God.
If there is one thing you can do to change the world, what will it be?
*I will not change anything. The world is not yet an awful abode. It is still a beautiful place where beautiful people can live into. The world might have some problems and challenges but God has the best plan for us. I still believe that people are good in the heart where Jesus lives. And because of that, I would not change anything but rather be thankful to God.
What are the sacrifices you have made for this pageant?
The sacrifices I have made for this pageant are time, effort, and good sleep. However, it is worth it. Colorful experiences and unforgettable memories, confidence and self-esteem I have gained and friends that I have met are more than the worth of the sacrifices I have invested.
What is being “simple”?
For me, being “simple” means finishing my studies, having a good and happy family, living, accepting, and enjoying life as you share your blessings to other people.
What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
Our government leaders are so busy forging foreign relations, law -makings, politics and graft and corruption cases, while millions of (nationality) are struggling in order to provide food for their family during meal time. I believe that the government should be bothered and worried about those poor families and the less fortunate in our country all the times. Eradicating poverty must be considered above all as number one priority of our government leaders.
What is your favorite body part?
My favorite body part is my hand because this is the most important for me. It is also the primary body part that I use to help someone and to work toward the accomplishment of my goals.
If you will make an instant change to our planet, what would it be, why?
If you would (invent one thing) be a thing, what would it be?
(lf I would to invent one thing) (Optional), I want something that would bring back the original count of ozone molecule which is irreversible in nature causing ozone depletion, global warming, and climate changes that caused and killed thousands of people through super typhoons, tsunami, skin cancer, and excessive heat or coldness. (Optional: that kill too most of our adults in other countries.)
Who do you think is the sexiest man alive today?
*I find the First U.S. Black President Barack Obama as the sexiest man alive. He is an affirmation that denied rights, gender, race, creed, or even sexual preference is an outdated idea. His victory is a proof that reason can conquer hatred, and maturity can replace prejudice and has given us a great leap and awakening. And because of that, he has been the apple of the eye of the people in every corner of the world.
*I think Many Pacquiao is the sexiest man alive today for he has given our country and the Filipino people much honor, pride and glory not for just a year but a decade of fights that would never be forgotten into the hearts of every Filipino and into the eyes of the world that “We – the Filipinos can”. What is a “winner” for you?
For me, a “winner” is a person who learned and realized most of life’s lessons; was able to respect and gain others’ respect; has become a friend to everyone and was able to help other people. That would be a “winner” for me.
If you are a leader, how will you make a difference?
How will you make a difference in this world?
If you are given the chance to be a leader, what do you think is the best project?
*Being a leader, I can make a difference by promoting, helping, and asking the international organizations and governments to have more livelihood training programs that would enhance the entrepreneurship skills of the people, plus the development of hospitals that cater the needs of a sick person.
With that, employment will be provided and a healthy world will be built up. Through these two projects, we could lessen poverty and prevent and cure ill health.
*Given a chance to be a leader, I would launch projects and fairs which would promote entrepreneurship and business. It is because through these projects that we can lessen the unemployment rate of our fellow Filipinos and give a helping hand in the economy as well.
If you would be isolated in an island, and given the chance to bring 3 things, what would it be?
If I would be isolated in an island and given the chance to bring three things, I would bring lighter, bible and eyeglasses. The lighter will be used in making fire for survival. The bible will be for my spiritual light. Moreover, the eyeglasses will save me when my eyesight starts to fail.
It is not advise to memorize answers in pageants but the above questions and answers will surely give you enough idea on how to handle questions.
